The Campesinos (Farmworkers) Program

California has many riches, including it being a state that is 80% agriculture, with tens of thousands of campesinos.   Most individuals do not know, farmworkers are a large part of the working poor. They have seasonal jobs that most of the time do not afford them the basic necessities, for example, food being the number one need.  This program is meant to assist our farmworkers and their families through a variety of already established Knights of Columbus programs.

Click here to find detailed information regarding the program, how to get started, how to report your activities. Let us work together and fill the need for this much needed program. Already we have Chapters, Assemblies and Councils who have started making donations toward our goals.

We Were Born Ready - Bishop's Statement
On January 22, the California Bishops issued a statement committing to a vision of support for women, children and families. This is who we are as Catholics. For more than 2000 years, Catholics have cared for the most vulnerable by founding the first hospitals, orphanages, and social safety nets. We provide food, drink, clothing, shelter, healthcare, visit the sick and imprisoned, comfort the afflicted and the dying. We were born ready.
